Hello, I’m Mina Kim.

I approach design with benevolence and empathy, grounded in understanding human emotions and behaviors.

I strive to highlight often-overlooked details that can significantly enhance people's lives, believing that true innovation lies in recognizing and appreciating subtleties.

I'm fascinated by how people perceive and interact with the world,
especially when product starts their life in real-world interactions.

For me, the best communication tool to see reactions is SNS,
which includes posts from both random users and my friends.
-Observing how people engage with products or services.
-Naive reactions are happening there, showing their preferences and pain points.

︎Problem Addressed

It was almost impossible to see the side mirror when driving in complete darkness.

︎Suggested Solution

To decrease the percentage of accidents, I believe that additional lighting or a digital camera with enhanced brightness would be necessary.

︎ Problem Addressed

Even this one frustrating experience with a bicycle could discourage beginners from using it as their regular transportation.

︎Suggested Solution

-Alert warnings when the user setting is 'bicycle'
-Remove the barrier as it does not fit with how people behave

︎Problem Addressed

This worn-out paint might arouse crime,
as it could serve as one of the greatest indicators for deciphering password combinations.

#Broken windows theory
The Broken Windows Theory proposes that visible signs of disorder,
like broken windows, can encourage further crime.
Addressing these signs promptly may prevent escalation of criminal activity in neighborhoods.

︎Suggested Solution

- Repair and regular maintenance management is needed.
-Change to a digital-based keypad.

︎Problem Addressed

Unfortunately, with long extension nail art, it was almost impossible to close the window. Pressing it was quite easy, but pulling it up was very hard.

Considering the situation of physically disabled persons who might not be able to use their fingers freely, they might have a very frustrating experience with this small button.

︎Suggested Solution

- Push-Push Button
- Touch or temperature sensor-based technology
